Kitchen Colours Help
Hi All, we are badly stuck on kitchen
colours😕. Our kitchen will have a navy island (Hague blue) and light grey units ( pavilion grey). Our floors are oak wood effect tile in herringbone style. We will put a light neutral grey on the walls, but we have a half chimney wall and are stuck on a colour for this. Should we make this a dark feature wall , would this work well? What colours would work with the navy island and grey units? Any suggestions or pictures would be greatly appreciated? Thank You

3 years agoIf you want to use a darker shade personally I’d pick the end wall. It looks as if it may also frame a view? They look to have used different colours for the remaining walls and ceilings in the first pic but personally I’d keep them the same to accentuate the ceiling height.
is there a fire going in? If so (and in budget) you could use a pale brick or split tile etc (I personally find the dark colours break the room up). You could also tile the opposite end wall in darker tiles (using the dark colours on the short walls will make it feel wider, that’s only relatively speaking as it’s an amazing room and size!!).
It would also look amazing in the one colour though!

Comments (11)I would definitely go white! You've got great texture and color already with the elements you have listed for the room. Let the white be a striking backdrop for the stars of the show. From the picture you posted the cabinets look like a white-ish color. So having a bright white wall will show off the lovely grey tone of the cabinet with some much needed contrast. I recommend Sherwin Williams High Reflective White, SW7757. It is the truest of white with no tint of green, yellow or pink. Or lift colours from the landscape beyond the windows for the walls, cabinets, feature wall.
And save the graphic quality of Hague Blue for the island and echoing sofa/chair/rug in the living space beyond.
