Describe your dream kitchen island!
Comments (15)I'm a kitchen table girl too - a kitchen diner is perfect for me, the table has a bench at one side, Grandma's inherited jumble sale mismatched chairs with wipe-clean cupcake seats at the other and an auction find second hand balloon back at the head, room for 8 - table stretches to 12 when needed. Currently the table houses 50th birthday flowers, a get well soon card (sciatica), a box of wine delivered yesterday but not yet opened (temptation too great when on these tablets!), the ubiquitous condiments and this laptop. Eating will happen somewhere else tonight. My sister in law has two dishwashers in her island with the double sink (stretchy tap) and waste disposal. They tick my boxes too as long as I'd also have room for my precious well-scrubbed kitchen table....See MoreI think I've made a big mistake..... please help!
Comments (36)Yellow was very popular in the late 1980s - often paired with royal blue or duck egg. As a colour it stimulates brain activity so it's sometimes used in school classrooms. If you must use it, use a F&B wallpaper for your feature wall which includes the yellow. Or scrap the existing feature wall and have the entire room yellow and go shopping for textiles that go with it...See MoreShow me your DIY-kitchens photos please!

We will be putting some new client photos of past projects into our pro page on Houzz, and our website, next week... hope that helps ! :-)...See MoreSmall kitchen island design advice please, two-tone or single
Comments (8)Normally i think islands in a small room work better if they’re in the same colour. Personally I prefer Matt and think shaker style would work. The kitchen will probably look bigger minus handles but I think shaker handleless are more expensive but might be wrong. You could have discreet handles anyway. Have you considered an induction hob? It’s sleeker and will give you more worktops space when not in use. It also looks as if you could have a deeper than normal worktop on the back run (more storage space)? i added some tiles for texture but you may hate the colour (Apologies for the bad photoshop!)...See More- 5 years ago
