The samples here are egyption cotton, timeless, white hessian, f and b peignoir...which i like but looks quite pinky. Any ideas anyone?? Kitchen is cashmere and brown. Thank you....See MoreTile pattern and layout help needed please
Comments (3)Thanks Sophie, we finally bought the 600 x 600 as we loved it do much, with similar colour grout I think it would be fine. what are your thoughts on the grout? We are doing an inside floor and flowing into the outside patio with the same porcelain stone, except one is an outdoor rougher finish. But... we've been told that the laying of the stone outdoor needs a 4mm grout line minimum, preferably 5mm for outside, but the inside we were hoping for 2 or 3, but then it will look like its a mistake, and different if the grout sizes are different and the tiles wont obviously line up.. so now we're not sure how to lay them, either next to each other, or in a brick tile fashion, and now what do we do about grout? Same inside and out maybe a 4mm for both, or smaller inside and larger outside? This is all Too confusing, what do most people do?.. we're also not sure if we need expansion joints anywhere else? We currently have them at the join (between ply and concrete base) and doorways, but not sure if needed anywhere else? we have a good strong flat base, and de coupling matt too and flexible adhesive is that enough? Apologies so many questions.....See MoreHELP PLEASE!!!!! advice on tile colour and what you put underneath!
Comments (16)Shortly after moving into a new build our kitchen and utility tiles started to sound hollow when walking on them. When the tilers came to lift the tiles [each 200mm x 100mm] they came up in sheets of around 20 to 30 tiles at once. The concrete floor was clearly not prepared before the originals were laid and the tiles had simply not keyed onto the floor. The tilers cleaned and sealed the floor [not sure what with... but the whole job was done in one day, so nothing too time consuming] and the new tiles have now been down for nearly 29 years with no problems....See MoreBathroom tile colour advice please
Comments (4)If you love marble, you could try a porcelain marble in Calacatta Gold. It has a brown/gold vein. For example: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Boutique-Calacatta-Gold-Lux-Glazed-Porcelain-Wall+Floor-Tile---600-x-600mm/p/191545 or https://totaltiles.co.uk/calacatta-gold-gloss-marble-effect-porcelain-floor-tile.html...See More- 5 years agolast modified: 5 years ago
