sun tunnel blind

Hello

I would love some advice or even a link to a product!

I want to put a sun tunnel in a room in my house that I plan to use as the lounge but if I do an extension in a couple of years (which I am hoping to do) this will become a bedroom. Is there such a thing as a simple blind for sun tunnels?

Hi there we installed a sun tunnel in our bathroom and to be honest it hardly makes any difference, personally I wouldn’t waste the money.

Interesting, thanks. The room faces north with a lovely valley view but its in line with the roof apex so I am only going to do it if I can get it on the south slope. It's a bungalow too so hopefully not too long a tunnel!

I will keep this in mind though... :)

Maybe think of another film? Moveable screens seem a bit over the top... I've seen films that are a mirror on the outside and on the inside you wouldn't even know they were fitted but stopped glare.

Thank you everyone for all your helpful comments. I had thought of a pergola funnily enough as we had one at our old house, although this will take a while to set up. James, that German shading system looks great for a glass roof. Our glass is only in the doors though, we have a solid ceiling so looks like your need is greater than ours :-) The special glass is definitely a great option but we need to look into it as the company whose doors we like only offer one type of glass and they are the only company that do that style of door :(

Hello. I'm not sure if I am in right place but I just didn't find a topic about DYI windows blinds so maybe it would be useful not only for me. I and my wife after a year finally finished our home rework. Of course, there still is a lot of work to do, but at least now we can live there :huray: . The first thing that annoys us a lot is disturbing morning sun. We can't get enough sleep, because of it. So we started looking for windows blinds. So far we decided that we want roller blinds. But after long research, we find out that there is an option to get customized blinds and even create our own. So now there is a question, is anyone has tried it, or something similar and maybe could share their thoughts about quality and is it even worth it?

It’s important to know how much light you will get coming through, just don’t hold out too much hope for it to really light the room, we dont have windows in this room at all so maybe if you have windows already it might help a little.
