Dear Elaine, You are more than welcome! It is actually possible to keep the brick wall even if you will have the shower against it. The only thing that has to be done, the Bathroom has to be properly sealed, behind the tiles and the corners of the shower. Also, you can choose to have a channel drain underneath the shower, so the brick wall would be protected as all water would be collected in the drain. Are you going to have a shower tray or flat floor? Don't give up on it, as you could make your Bathroom look special, unique and stylish like no one has. Also, bricks are waterproof so you don't need to worry yourself. If you still unsure you can get the fake bricks to make a replica of the one you have. From my view of point you would give your Bathroom a great style so why waste those lovely features? Other people would pay to have one like that. Don't worry if the brick wall is not even as that can be fixed easily and even leaving it like that would look still good! You can tile two of your walls, and again there are so many styles you can pick or combine together. Have you thought of tiling the wall till half way only? I love the idea of having a stone wall, perhaps you could could cover one with stones the other one with wall tiles? For more inspiration I would like to list some more images for you. Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end

A very personal choice, and we do all the above options for our clients. Some people much prefer the look and feel of tiles, but grout discolouration & cleaning is the perennial bugbear. Wrt panels, I would urge you to do your homework, as there are some poor quality products on the market which can degrade quickly. We certainly recommend Nuance panels because of their "inert" substrate and class-leading guarantee. More expensive than other products, but in my opinion, worth the extra. Acrylic & glass also good alternatives. Love it. The seamless finish all over creates space even though it's a dark'ish colour. We recently had a few days away Airbnb style. The house had a bath like that. The wife has always wanted a deep stand alone style bath. However, upon using the one at the holiday house, she decided against it. Nowhere to place shampoo, conditioner and all the other paraphernalia that women need in a bath, plus the bath is so deep, putting it all on the floor and trying to access it, nigh on impossible unless you have monkey arms. Beautiful to look at, not easy to live with. The owner had a little trolley on wheels as it was obviously a problem that they shared.
