Advice needed please... on whether and how to restore.... I bought this french (apparently), late 19/early 20th century (apparently) farmhouse refectory table about 7 years ago and now want to sell it. It is solid oak, very heavy, 2 metres long plus 1 m extensions, and is stained or varnished dark brown.
It is slightly worse for wear as I have accidentally spilled acetone on it, and the kids have used it for crafts etc, and it has been in front of a south facing window so it slightly faded in one side.
Question is... should I restore, even though I want to sell it and if so how?
Or should I sell in this condition ?
