Your house looks a similar dimension to my house which I just sold. I kept the wall dividing the receptions rooms but took the wall down between the kitchen and back reception room. I would. Whether you add part of the garage to the kitchen or put the dining room in the garage area and have the existing kitchen and dining room as a large kitchen, then that‘s the route I think I’d take.

Hi, you have a lovely house with plenty of options - here's one.. I would put in a hall to separate your living room (privacy and cozy). Make the first half of the former garage into a den / office / small spare room? Second half could be a new larger  kitchen open to the dining room (water and drainage there for bathroom above). Current kitchen and loo could then be full bathroom with utility space and bootroom area inside the door. I think there's something about stairs needing direct access to an outside door, so that's why I knocked through to back hallway.

Instead of moving bathroom, could kitchen bevome a bedroom?
