Pick out a colour from the rug. Can I see orange?

I'd go for a pale greige/tan/taupe/clay, as in nearly off-white-pale. Something that blends really well with the wall tile. But your example looks great too (a bit too dark for a bathroom, if you'd ask me). White ceiling to go with trim/woodwork. (sidenote: just googled skimming stone and that looks a lot like what I would choose)

I have a small open plan kitchen/living room that I'm struggling to settle on a paint colour for. The cabinets take up most of the wall space in the kitchen area and are a dark, reflective grey with a minimalist design (similar to: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d0/4d/69/d04d69bab448e2a5d141e63c1bd8b0f2.jpg) The countertops are a white granite speckled with grey and black. My key colour is orange which I have for some appliances and small things. I've put up a backsplash of simple white tiles that covers the walls about a foot above the countertops. The living room furniture is a mix of dark grey/black fabrics and metal work with mid-tone natural wood (similar to the first on the left here: http://floorsandldn.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Swatch1.jpg). The flooring throughout is in the same tone of wood. I would like to be bold and go with a dark grey (e.g. Ink from Neptune https://www.neptune.com/interior-decor/paint/ink-paint/) on the walls, but I'm having trouble finding a tone that will work with the cabinets, which change so much depend on what light they're reflecting. This is making me think I should instead go for a mid- or light grey, but I don't want to tone it down so much that it loses the impact and ends up not working! I'm keeping the ceiling and skirting boards white and using a lot of light/white cushions and throws to stop it becoming too dark. Any help much appreciated as it's been far too long I've been dithering over this!

Morning! Oh that's ok, haha. So yes I will have a small radiator (electric one) near the dining table and one over by the sofa. I wanted to create a larger floor to ceiling and wider than the dining table sized feature which would break up the large tv wall. So not just a picture size. However... I am thinking about having a go at painting one on myself, LOL, because they are so expensive and for the type of mural I'm thinking of for this room (ie more arty and not a direct photo), I'm not so bad a copy drawing. part of me still thinks having beading either side to make it a feature would be better as it may just get lost on a large wall if it's floating there by itself? If i had a picture it would be framed so I guess it will just look like a giant picture frame (without the top maybe? Just two beads up both sides to give the impression it's a separate wall. ? Otherwise, should I feel that I should add some tonal colours in the room but the best ones would be the ones at either end as it's a long room (5m) x 4.5 approx but just not sure what. Bonus is that we plan on dropping the ceilings below now so I can have a laminate rather than carpet and have a nice rug in there instead (yay).
