Hello, I’m new here and also new to owning a fiddle leaf fig. I adore it and I’m doing my best to learn how to keep it healthy. It’s been fine, growing and seemingly healthy but since I last watered it a couple of days ago I’m feeling worried. It seems to be almost black at the base of the leaves where they connect to the main trunk and this blackness is tracking up the veins that split off either side, at the base of each leaf. I’m not sure whether this is normal and it was always like this but I’d not noticed, though I suspect not. The growing tip also seems very dry and crisp to me whereas previously it’s been quite thick and soft. I wonder whether I’ve over watered? Any advice gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks
Sonia
