Help with headboard

Hi there guy's I need help with a head board I'm going to get bespoked here in England I'm having white leather with just a few button holes, anyway the problem I have is that I don't want to spend more money buying the whole bed frame attached so I need it to look like it is, what's the best way ! Do I attach it to the wall and if so how ? I' ll post pic's of the headboard and my bed

This is extremely large! Your problem will be that sheet materials like chipboard or mdf which would normally form the structure of the headboard come in 2440mm x 1220mm. This means you need to join it. Joining then upholstering would be unsuccessful unless you are doing it in situ. I would talk to s local upholsterer if I were you.

Beige seems a good way to go. However, headboards are easily changed with a piece of material sewn like a big pillow case, then you can change with seasons/mood etc: fuchsia, green, tapestry, silks, all those things that look great in the magazine but you wonder how long you can live with. Also good if you every want to move the room around and you end up with the bed against white instead of blue walls. Just in case you're like me and can never ever make up your mind.

Hi, I would love to see the end result if you do have any pictures.. My room has no real wall to put bed against.. one alcove is 100cm.. the other 120cm however it slopes where roof is, the goes into a large L or maybe even a L and another backwards L.. Did you just get the bedroom chimney breast taken out and/pr downstairs too?

I once had a similar headboard made and then attached it directly to a standard bed frame. For something this tall though, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to anchor it to the wall.

I had a standalone headboard and I had a handyman secure it to the wall for me using a simple U bracket. The U part is squared like a u and fit around the leg, just under the wider part of the headboard. We used drywall sleeves first, and then screws to ensure it would be well-anchored and we never had an issue. If you have brick or rough stucco or plaster, you might have to anchor it to your existing bedframe.

The one I used was very similar to this one...but it was a clean U shape
