I love blues and golds together. They contrast nicely but it depends on the actual colour of your sofa. Could they cut you off a small piece of carpet and you put it alongside the sofa?

I don't actually have the sofa as yet. My wife is pretty sure that she wants a teal sofa, but we don't want to limit our options too much and wondering if a teal sofa with a largely teal carpet would be too much in a small room.
