hiya, so ive read through your priorities you need and im thinking in regards to work surface space as its limited for something permanent, under the window have you considered a drop leaf table that can be used as a worksurface space when needed such as food prep. Or above the cupboard on the final picture there doesn't appear to be a drawer so you could have a pull out work surface. such as the ones below.

The drop leaf can come in all sizes but in terms of height i do see what your saying it would only be window sill height or theres the option of the kitchen island on wheels that you can put anywhere in the room with a work top on the top and then storage underneath. The pull out drawers are very good as theyre out of site when your done which is always handy and most come in colours to match existing counter tops.

Lovely view from the window. To extend you worktop, have you tried a removable cover for your sink? Is there somewhere else in the flat you could fit a fridge freezer? There are lots of creative ways to conceal it: under the stairs, inside a wardrobe, with stickers or just buy a really smart one that looks good anywhere.

As you say it depends on how much money you want to spend, but with bespoke size cabinets and doors, they don't have to be overly expensive because they're only used where a standard size unit isn't suitable for what ever reason, so a design might only have 1 or 2 bespoke units. Without knowing the dimensions of the room its a bit difficult to work out but you can get freestanding fridge freezers only 500mm wide, is there room behind the door for this? if so then I can see how to increase your worktop space. If not is there room for something like a 300 or 400 wide larder so have more storage. I'd also have a look at what i presume is your boiler cupboard, does the boiler go all the way down to your worktop, could any pipework be boxed in and then have a cupboard just for the boiler above the worktop.

Possibly change just the wall units and have taller 900 ones for more storage.

The belfast sink base could be a lot better designed as its this thats making the washing machine so tight, it only needs to be a 600 belfast base and you could have a tray space on one side and a winerack on the other and more room for the washing machine (why are the doors the wrong way round so the handles are at the bottom of the doors?)
