Are we allowed to say both? Both can look equally as great depending on the rest of the decor (and of course the bed linen to go with it!). It's nice to mix between the two every few years, a lick of paint can make a room feel entirely new.

Hi, Having a single light may not give enough light if both partners like to read. But if the room is for just you one light may be fine. I wouldn't worry too much about having 2 the same often interior designers will have different styles either side of the bed. Having said that make sure there something in common between them, either the same colour of same shape or from the same family. For example this little wall light below (which is great value) could be mixed with the matching table lamp. It's great to have a different look where the room is an unusual shape or when you like symmetry but can't have it. Alternatively you could have something very different like the lamp with a natural shade and wooden base. having different lamps either side of the bed can add a little individuality to the room. I think some form of wicker or rattan pendant would work really well with the style or maybe the Eos feather pendant (also comes in natural and grey). However high is the ceiling and what size is the room?
