Might sound crazy but a subtle two tone might work not colour blocking but a gradual subtle shade diff a soft off white blue grey teal on top that will not fight against the very bright white window frames and keeping a small room light.. and then getting to a soft blue grey darker teal colour with a soft graded border. And consider painting the unit soft white with an all surface soft white mat or soft sheen paint. Pop up a large piece B&W family photo or a family picked piece of wall art or something wacky like a giant gold fish on a white background framed in a thin bright orange frame and job done...or look up dark snugs/dens with rich bold colours can work well if done correctly .. good luck..

Nice contrasting opinions here. Green is definitely a colour that can comfortably remain current through each season. Whereas yellow does make you think of spring or even summer. The yellow does jump out at you though! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Are you going for standard height worktops? If so, I think it will be fine as the units will be just over a 1/3 of the wall height (things on walls seem to work better when in 1/3s or 2/3rds rather than splitting a wall in half). I would either paint the walls and ceilings the same colour or just go a shade or 2 lighter on the ceiling than the walls so you're not creating contrast. I've found this kitchen which I'm guessing is a similar height https://www.houzz.co.uk/magazine/kitchen-tour-modern-rustic-style-in-a-country-cottage-kitchen-stsetivw-vs~87744878

Hi, Kitchen looks awesome. I like to go for f&b cornforth white, really is a subtle colour which allows the kitchen to really stand out. But it’s enough of a colour to add some interest and not just white. The blues looks nice but personally I find them all quite cold looking.
