Ideas sound great. It will be easier to decide when you've moved in but good to plan it before as well. Post us some pics when you've moved and the furniture is in place. It is also best to choose paint colours when you're living at the property. Paint a couple of large sheets of lining paper and hang them in different lights - day & night. I made the mistake of painting a room in a colour that I'd chosen for the room in daylight. I nearly cried when I saw the paint at night time with the lights on - I had lovely candle bulbs in a chandelier light which gave off a warm yellowy light and the colour looked completely different to the curtains that I'd matched perfectly in daylight....!!!

Hi Fattyma. You could put a console table behind a sofa and add a couple of lamps which will separate the space and lamps will add a cosy feel. If you add a rug in the lounge it will zone that area and lighting can also help. Do you have a ceiling light in the lounge? If not you could use a floor lamp over the seating. Do you have lots of texture in the lounge already for cosiness? You may also be able to use a feature ŵall in either space or use complementary accent colours in both. If you add some pics you should get more ideas

simply arrange the furniture(a sofa and 2 armchairs/Ottomans) around a central feature such as a fireplace/TV , in the reception room . Then arrange another set , maybe two armchairs around a window,nook, corner,bay window. it depends on your living room plan ,size and navigation areas. do u have a floor plan?
