Calling on the Houzz community once again. I am so surprised at how difficult it is proving to be to find extractor fans that suit building regs. Surely most people looking for extractor fans are in the same situation as me with the same requirements for minimum power size etc??? I am looking for 3 extractor fans, one wall mounted for the kitchen (minimum 60 litres per second pull due to distance from hob), two ceiling mounted for utility room and wetroom both need to be minimum 30 litres per second and have extra long ducting. Looking for 100 mm for all. Why is this so difficult to find and why are most of the websites that sell them so badly designed that you cant specify size and strength to filter results? The only one that allows this is screwfix and they have one option only. Anyone else been frustrated by extractor fans and found a decent site? Cheers, Jess

Hi Catherine There are lots of discreet extractor hood styles available that would fit your space perfectly. Have you considered an integrated/telescopic hood, or downdraft extractor? This can be fitted anywhere- this motor doesn’t have to be even near your kitchen! If your kitchen has a room above then it should fit in the joists. If your kitchen has a loft above put the motor up there.

Give Falmec a try, they have some beautiful and effective recirculating extractors in the style you're looking for. If positioned in relation to your height they won't get in the way when working at the hob but when compared to vented hobs they will always block the view/sight lines more.
