Why not until the table is in place?

I love the floors! Can you what they are? I remember you wanted LVP.

What shape and size is your table? How big is your room? There are several rules to help the proportions of the chandelier work with the room and/or the table

1. The general rule of thumb is to add the length and width of your room and use that measurement in inches to get the diameter of your chandelier. For example, if your dining room is 12’ x 15’, you would use a 27” diameter chandelier.

2. Choose a chandelier that is 1/2 to 3/4 the width of the dining table. The chandelier should also be 6” smaller on each side than the table.

@beaglesdoitbetter, is the flooring in your DR LVP? If it is, would you share the brand, style, and color, please?

I don't know what's going on with Houzz but it keeps disappearing my posts. Here is the table in my old house. It's really too small for our family now so I'm going to get a new one if I can find one I like. In the meantime, I will recover the chairs in white and use the existing table until I come across one I like.

The dining room dimensions are 13 feet wide and 22.4 long.

The first of those suggested fixtures is a bit fussy. I like the second better, but the shades are a bit too large. I'm also really trying to stay under $600 since I have to buy 22 light fixtures :)

bbstx it is not LVP. I really tried to like LVP floors and in the end, I could not. I ended up with natural maple hardwood floors.

Of the options you posted, the first and second best complement your foyer choice.

Since you are going to buy a larger table, I would size the chandelier to the room. Then keep the diameter in mind when searching for the table.

DD2 has this one in her MBR, and currently at a heavily discounted price.

I love the changes you’ve made. Since the chandelier is visible from the foyer and since you don’t know what shape and size table you will have, I would wait to buy the chandelier unless you find one you really love. You can always have a plain cover over the opening for now.

These suggestions are great! I'm showing them to my husband. I love that twig one but I really want to stay under $600. This remodel is, unsurprisingly, already a bit over budget and I have 22 light fixtures to buy!

Both the Ballard Design one and the one Allison posted are top of my list if my husband likes either :)

This one is gorgeous blue velvet, but in a dining room you’d need two— easily done by an electrician and have the original attachment site covered with a plate or else habe the box removed and the area patched, mudded and painted (all easier than they sound)

What is your beautiful floor? I have been seriously considering the carpet in the main living area (living room, dining room, etc) with wood (engineered maybe).

KSWL Where are you finding all these amazing blue lights. I googled for blue light fixtures and nothing like this came up. I think I might do the velvet for my bedroom and the Safavieh for my living room unless my husband isn't on board. I'll show him tonight!

The kitchen and breakfast nook we have light fixtures already, we're using these to match our Big Chill range with the aged brass accents.

Pricklypearcactus It is a natural maple floor. I don't know the specific name or brand. If you're interested, I can give you my flooring guy's contact details if you're anywhere near Orlando. Or I can call him and try to find out. We used it throughout our entire house so if you want I can also post pictures in other rooms so you can see how it looks in different lights.

I guess adding the "white" to the search made all the difference because I did not see ANY of these. They are fabulous. Now I'm wishing I had more rooms to put them all in!

Unfortunately I'm all the way in Salt Lake City, Utah. I wish I could use your flooring person! That's very helpful to know it's natural maple because that's one of the woods I was thinking about. I probably need to find a good wood flooring person here and see if they can help me source a good product. Thank you! I have some other wood (knotty alder) in the house that I don't want to replace (cabinets, railings, fireplace mantle) so I need to find something that can work with its tone.
