I think I would try to add a sense of softness and/or zoning to the dining area. Perhaps a flat weave rug under the dining table, a different paint colour or wallpaper on the outer window walls (perhaps a soft rose like the chairs), and replace the existing wall art with something a bit larger and more colourful, plus shift its position to make it centered between the window and cabinet. I would also remove the hanging plant and bring the eye back down to the dining space, swapping it for a plant on a corner stand. I can’t quite see what is at the back of the dining room (a dark grey bookcase?), but I would look to make it feel “more dining room, less kitchen”.

I assume the long white wall is the main walkway to the kitchen? My worry is if you introduce anything protruding like a sideboard or even shelves the walkway will feel quite cramped, especially when people are sitting at the table. If you do hang a TV on that wall, consider what it will look like from the side as you enter the room… will it be completely flush to the wall with all wires hidden?

If I was feeling brave, I might try some creative wall paint design for that wall. Perhaps add a horizontal stripe or two of a rose and/ or grey paint? Or a few rectangular patches of colour? That would help fill the wall, so then you could add in smaller scale elements like framed family photos without them feeling lost.

Lovely room. The plant looks a bit lost so maybe move it to one of the window sills? Everything is a bit one tone, but I like the soft pink of the chairs so maybe add more pink on the walls. This could be with paint or more art. Picture below is from Next. That long wall needs dressing with perhaps a nice mirror or more art. It’s such a nice room that just needs a bit more accessorising.

There are so many different styles of dining lighting, but I saw this and liked it. It’s from Very Home. Only thing I’m unsure of is it’s 100cm high which seems excessive unless this includes the cord!
