Hiya. We recently had an extension done and looking for it to be signed off, however our lovely builder decided to change the layout of the agreed plans... we now have only 18 months until planning expires. He has boxed in our spare bedroom with a utility room that leads to kitchen. Effectively, we now have a bedroom with a door leading into a utility which has a door leading to kitchen/exit and another door which leads to a hall which is 1x1x1 and then the lounge and then to exit. My question is, how do we get this bedroom to be classed as a habitable room and one that complys with building regs? The walls in this bedroom connect to neighbouring property so no option for a standard window and we've been told a velux is not sufficient enough.
