Help! Bedroom Interior Design

Hello

I’m planning to add wall slats behind the bed, paired with a floating nightstand on the left side and an asymmetrical mirror above it. On the right, I’m thinking of including a pendant light, along with either another floating nightstand or a simple, basic one.

For the opposite wall, I’m considering flowing drawers and a dresser with a mirror above it, complemented by a footstool. I’ve found some furniture pieces and attached ideas, but I’m not sure if they all work well together.

There are so many options, and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. I’m aiming for a warm and cohesive look without changing the wall color. Could you suggest ideas to help tie everything together?

The images you have posted are lovely but very trendy. I would steer clear of the hanging pendants next to the bed as I think it's already passe. I like the slats and think they would add a lot of warmth. Is your property owned or rented? I would use battens to fix the slatted panelling as it is easier to remove in the future rather than glue which will damage the plaster when removed. I like the floating nightstand but it depends on the wall as to whether it can be hung or not. You will need a solid wall or at the very least would need to add a noggin or two between the wooden frames if not solid. If you are aiming for a warmer look consider changing your curtains or carpet as they are both cooler shades.

Hi Claire, Do the doors actually open inwards into the room? How about considering place the bed in the center of the room facing the doors? You would disguise the back of the bed with a thin console table which have some dressing style storage (jewelry etc) and can hold some tall flowers and candles to set the mood on entering. There's lots of ways you can add the luxury feel you are looking but this would create real impact and make the bed the real feature of the space. If budget allows I would hang lights from the ceiling ad beside lights and layer up on dressing for an even more luxurious feel. I have attached one of my clients bedroom design (single room re-design package) to show you the hanging lighting idea - if this isn't possible then a well placed small chandelier style light would have a great effect on the space. regarding guests above the main bedroom, I respectfully disagree; I think bedrooms should be kept private, certainly not joined to a guest's bedroom we do need dimensions to proceed though what if you fitted the office above and closed it off, perhaps with a retractable screen, so you wouldn't disturb the person sleeping. the downside is that you are combining work and relaxation into one area, so it's not the best solution. which means... if there's not enough space above, and I do doubt that there is, rather get a wall of closets in the bedroom, and change there. It would also save the inconvenience of stairs; think of times you forget items and have to go up and down repeatedly, times you're deciding what to pick out and need space to arrange clothing options, times you're packing closets, or exhausted after a long day out, the option of a mezzanine dressing room loses some appeal to me. Another option though, is to have closets in the bedroom for daily clothes of the season, and some above for other seasonal and occasional clothing

I think a silver grey on the wall behind the bed would tie in with your silver grey blind and carpet and soften the dark headboard. Little green paint company have a colour card that is the exact colour of the paint, and they send lovely pots with a proper paintbrush. Elle decoration range from Homebase is also very good and they have a fabulous range if greys. I love the arrangement of the mirrors, think that's a great idea. You can get paint with a subtle glitter in it! If you have the gold giraffe lamps which I think are gorgeous, there are some lovely prints black white and grey of safari, African references which could tie in. It's very exciting to have such a choice, but the main thing is this is your space and you need to love it, put in something you really love and then you will be really happy with it.
