Comments (7)Hi I love the warm caramel colour on the walls! I think I would try to create an eye piece I.e softer headboard in maybe a tonal colour to the walls. I would also have a built in storage area where you have the chests in the triangular area, to maximise space/storage. A focal point would encourage the eye away from the window. As the space behind pillow area is limited, a bespoke/DIY headboard would work. I will look for photos, sorry I've not attached any yet. It's a good space to work with and the bed could be layered to look elegant and inviting....See MoreMaster bedroom re-design
Comments (4)Hi. Yes, I would paint the wardrobes and it really depends on the colour of the other walls. If you paint them the same colour as the wall they are on then they will appear to be apart of the wall and will be far less imposing. The mix match of woods doesn't help so I would look at changing this to have one wood and the painted if possible. I would add height to the room to help with the look, mirror the length in the wardrobes opposite drawing your eye up the space, with taller more imposing bedside lamps....See MoreHelp ! Is an ensuite going to fit without ruining the master bedroom ?
Comments (27)Hi Just to update I have had a bathrooms designer out today who really knew what he was talking about and has said the architect is wrong and we could have the ensuite in the study, which is where we wanted it all along! There is more wall space in the 2nd bedroom so it would make more sense if we built a door through from that room and made that the main bedroom. It will still entail putting in a new soil pipe on the side wall and digging up part of the drive to put in an inspection chamber ( not sure of the correct word), but the joists run in the correct direction and are deep enough to go from the study to the outside wall. He thought the ensuite in the current bedroom would impact the room. The 2nd designer thought we could put the ensuite in the main bedroom, but have the doorway on a slant so it wouldn't impact so much? I'm going to get a 3rd quote/opinion and go from there, but feeling more positive today. Jonathan - hadn't realised you meant knocking into the other room, sorry. Peggysue67 - another good idea, thank you...See MoreARC Bespoke Interiors
