You can also use a battery puck light in the plants

Consider buying another end table and floor lamp. It will balance that end of the room. Then for a ceiling fixture, I suggest a flush mount. Maybe in the same fabric as the floor lamps?

BTW, you need to center the rug. Too much floor on window side and too little on solid wall side.

Just a personal note...would you consider painting the entire room in the blue?

Thank you. Yes it’s a formal dining which we changed to living. Will try the puck lights, never heard of them. Thank you for the chandelier ideas .

@elcieg there’s a loveseat there but we are currently using it in another area until we decide on furniture

The rug should be centred to the to the room regardless of where the couches will go.

I would do something very close to the ceiling not a hanging one that screams cahndelier I agree the rug centered and IMO a very simple light with all the stuff you have going on visually . I also never like fami;y photos in public spaces so nice piece of art above the sofa and the pics in a hallway out of public view iMO you have too many pillows the end table is an odd height and the lamp not right at all. A larger taller end table with a table lamp snd mabe a floor lamp on the side where the plants are but not that one . Ilke color in a space but try to stay aways from too much matchy matchy The drapes and the rug are both busy so maybe pillows in atexture not orange and IMO not the twinkle lights on the drapes either .You have space to add 2 chairs and a great piece of art on that huge empty wall too and the chairs can have another table and lamp.Maybe this light from Amazon it has dimmer so a great one for a LR
