Comments (14)What about a beni ourain? Also, saw these online: http://www.madeindesign.co.uk/prod-coogee-sofa-3-seaters-by-sentou-edition-ref13691-a-3.html http://www.gordonsfurniture.co.uk/clarence-seater-buttoned-seating-chesterfield-leather-sofa-orange-p-1138.html That last has shown up in a few shops, with or without swarovski cyrystals, and looking a different shade of orange in every photo, so is easily not the colour shown in this one. Here it is again: http://www.designersofas4u.co.uk/products/sofas-and-living-room/chesterfield-sofas-uk/swarovski-crystal-sofa-range/chesterfield-swarovski-crystallized-8-4-product.html...See MoreDesperately need bedroom ideas ..
Comments (29)What a wonderful space...first things first. I would get rid of the small readiator, looks completely wrong. How about a darker colour being added to this wall, as it will complement and pull the room together? Also today you can get sooo many copies of old 4-poster beds or maybe even a modern one, especially as you have the height in the room and this room is just right for a 4-poster! The bedside tables could be painted/paint washed in the same colour as whatever bed you decide to get. Also as I cannot see the entire room, a couple of big armoires would look fantastic, but make sure that they compliment the colour of the bed. Throw one or more Persian carpets down. Add a one or two check of drawers + a desk + a couple of chairs with a small round table between them. Chairs, desk, check of drawers would look great French/Swedish style (have a look at Swoon and Alison at Home). Finally chose you fusions and bed throw, best is to compliment the colour of painted wall behind bed! You have sooo much room in here you could have a ball...and I hope you do...whatever you chose to do, good luck... :) PS! Don't forget a nice big mirror to compliment the furniture... :)...See MoreAdvice needed for bedroom refresh!
Comments (5)Do you have any pictures of styles you like that can be pared back in terms of scale? I would make the bed the feature of the room. Invest in an upholstered headboard, either something with a little height and maybe buttoned or an interesting shape. Add cushions and a throw in different textures (and maybe a simple pattern!). I think you also need to get matching bedsides as the difference in height throws the room out. I'd change the hinges and handles on the wardrobe and repaint. Curtains may also help to make the room look cosy, even a single drape on each window pulled back? Paint the room in a creamy shade and add your prefferred accent colours....See MoreWhat was your worst decorating disaster?
Comments (65)My worst decorating disaster - I was painting the hallway and doing the skirting boards in thick gloss paint. My hair was quite long at the time and I had it in a ponytail. I kneeled down to get at an awkward piece of skirting board and yes - my ponytail went straight into the paint pot. I jerked my head up and the ponytail, covered in gloss, swung and slapped me across the face. My son's thought it was hysterical! Several attempts at washing didn't get rid of the paint and I ended up having to have around 6 inches cut off my hair....See MoreCDR Design, LLC
