Hi there,

I need some inspiration for our bedroom. We own an old farmhouse and are working our way through redecorating the entire house. I am desperate to get onto our master bedroom!

I have no idea where to start as my partner and I rarely agree! I would love to find a picture and think, 'that's it! I want to replicate this!', but all of the images I see are of these very grand and beautifully architecturally designed houses. Sure these look stunning! But what about your average home, where we don't have huge amounts of space or grand windows, alcoves, perfectly symmetrical hallways or sweeping staircases?!

At the moment, our bedroom is not somewhere we want to spend time, it is just a room we use to sleep and get dressed in. I want it to be a room that we walk into and feel that wow feeling, its lovely to be in this room. It doesn't have to be grand and expensive, just simple but beautiful, cosy will do!

We definitely need a new bed. Not precious about the other furniture except the wardrobes, these need to stay for now so I guess these will dictate the style of the room?

I want it to be warm and cosy, but elegant. Lighting is important to me. I hate flowery and very patterned things, so this wallpaper drives me nuts! Clean and elegant is my thing.

Ideas much appreciated!
