Do you need both of the sofas on the long wall? I would swap what looks to be the larger of the 2 with the one in front of the window and perhaps sell the other. I like the wood floor but if you're on a budget you could add a light rug instead which should help? Do you need the nets for privacy? what sort of styles do you like and do you have a budget in mind? Plants, lamps, cushions etc would lift it. A light brown/taupe with a pink undertone might work for the walls (I'd also paint the radiator).

Hi @Isla Cherry Actually neither ourselves, nor kids watch the TV during the day (probably for 3-4 more years at laest), so the main usage of the room would be for all of us to sit & play around together. Kids are 3, 1, 1 years old. Even at night we mostly just talk/read stuff, so the only important stuff is to be comfortable and relax during the night. We need to have dining arrangement there, and kitchen entrance is either on top left or bottom left. Meanwhile we came up with these 4 combinations (actually 2, but dining table can have two positions depending if we want to put bar stools in front of the kitchen island)
