Don’t assume a wall is supporting just because it’s built of brick. Since there is nothing above it I think a professional will tell you that moving it is easy and you might ask a builder to quote.
Don’t forget that moving a door does also mean the carpet in the landing may be affected and you will have to move a light switch but it’s definitely not the extortionate job you are envisaging

Thanks for responding. We had calculations done by a structural engineer while sorting wall between kitchen/diner and that bathroom wall holds a large roof beam which runs the width of the house. We got it quoted as part of the kitchen works but at £2.5 -£3k it’s just not worth it. the whole house hasn’t been touched since the 1970s so there is a lot to spend and I don’t think moving that door would make a huge difference day to day life. The kitchen wall was worth every penny as it completly changed the space.

it may be possible to switch the position of the toilet and the basin to avoid that toilet in your line of vision as you open the door. You could also turn the bath through 90deg without moving it. You could also just update as is, keep the layout and use a clear film on the bottom part of the window. Does the window open? We have opaque glass on our bathrooms with windows on the outside wall. It is not expensive to change the glass if you wanted to. That might be the most cost effective solution.

If you wanted to change the position of the bath, ideally, you would choose a smaller bath (you can go down to a 1.4m bath rather than the standard 1.7 m). Another thought would be to reverse the hinge of the door so that it opens towards your window at the front elevation. Survey the room properly and see if your 1.2m dimension is correct. If it is a bit larger, then a 1.4m bath would fit nicely on that wall, and your vanity and WC can be at the window elevation.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve been considering moving the wall but I think it compromises a nicely proportioned bedroom.

We had to change very rotten wooden windows so they are opening windows with satin glass, i think it’s the feeling of showering in a window rather than we are actually visible. Shared picture so you can see what we are working with. I think the answer is to use lovely materials to make it feel special. the bonus of a tiny room is you don’t need much of anything so can go for the expensive tiles over small square footage.

Maybe shutters at the windows would do the trick? The slats can be opened or closed as required and they look smart. You can get them made of waterproof materials.
