Help with curtain fabric and colour
Comments (10)With expensive items such as curtains it is best to stick to something that you won't get bored with or date quickly. You can always add pops of colour with accessories such as curtains, vases and throws. You can then easily and inexpensively give the room a refresh or have different sets of accessories for different seasons. How about a neutral soft velour pencil pleat? If you are looking for ready made curtains take a look at Next and Dunelm. You can send for sample swatches online from Next to see whether the fabric and colour works in your room. If you are looking for bespoke curtains then I recommend you find a local curtain lady who will be able to help you with choosing the fabric and colour. I hope this helps. Comments (0)Can anybody suggest what the fabric for the curtains and throw is in this picture. I would love it for a bedroom makeover and would be grateful for any advice on same or similar fabrics with this colour and design....See Morecurtains and throw pillows

Are you just looking for a quick refresh, or do you have longer term plans for your living room? If it’s a quick refresh with curtains, cushions and paint, then perhaps some of the photos below will inspire you both. If you’re looking at longer-term plans for the room, take some time to think about how you both will use the room. It looks from your photo that there’s a desk chair?? Zoning the room can be a useful way to set out how the room will be used. This will help you to think not only about the decorative scheme, but also the furniture and storage that you both need. Hope this helps. Enjoy your new home!...See MoreBedroom accessory advice
Comments (17)Given that the photo is taken quite close to the bed I assume the room isn't large so a bold wallpaper could well overwhelm the space and take away the calm feel you have achieved. I like the lamps and agree with what Molly20100 says. I'm interested that most people like the headboard - my first reaction to the picture was that if the h/b colour was more related to the curtains it would tie the scheme together but that is probably the most difficult thing to change and as KK1000 says it is a spare room. A general point about cushions on beds - where do you put them in a small room when you want to sleep, I've experienced this in a very small spare room ( of course they filled the only space, the floor)...See More- last year
