I love your new plan. You are right to make the doorway from the house to the bathroom, you only need a concrete lintel above it, the wall will be fine! ( Any builder can do this! ) Can you spin the bath round so that it's under the window though?? You will probably have enough room for a storage unit to the left of the door as you walk in. Aswell as running Bagpuss,... we are experienced property developers and i always do all of the plans, and purchasing of materials etc.........also, 50% of the labour with my husband most of the time. It pays to know what's possible sometimes. I get up really early, so, following on from your latest plan, I 3d'd it for you, as i had nothing better to do. The pictures are a little grainy but you get the idea x

It is an odd shaped space but I actually think it has a lot of potential once you add some more textures to it. I personally would put a rug coming out from under the bed which would make the room feel softer and give the illusion it is longer/bigger. For the awkward corner I actually think just a plant would fill it perfectly. If you put a tall plant in a nice pot in the corner it would make the room feel a lot more homely and add some colour. - Or you could put a standing lamp in the corner. I think the space just needs a lot of soft furnishings and some colour to stop it looking so clinical! It is quite a harsh space and the strange corner definitely doesn't help but I think with more textures it could actually be very homely.

We have v similar island set up in our home. What works well is a separate hard wearing floor in the main kitchen work area, for function and for signalling that the main traffic corridor is on the opposite side with wood floor. Also, we added electric sockets on the opposite side of island, for use with toaster, bread maker and stand mixer, which are stowed on that side of island, for use close to pantry storage in tall cabs on far wall. I would prioritise the views from the dining table and from living area into the kitchen. Can you make a decorative finished look on the end of the cabinet runs closest to dining table? Also, is the space at the end of island near doors to living area well-used? — not quite sure how those doors will open and close, but I like the idea. Also, consider lighting to help turn the dining area into a separate zone — by turning off work lights in kitchen etc. This is my first experience with such an island and that’s how we’ve made it work. I think the pale colours draw attention to the fence more than it should. I prefer a darker fence that blends into the background. Or a natural weathered wood, which also blends into the background. Tbh I'm not loving the green woodwork, yellow brick and pink driveway combo. The render paint colour is also a bit too clean a colour and I'd rather it was slightly different to tone it down a bit and make it less crisp looking. I think the green fences look better than the pale neutrals, but I think I'd get the house exterior done first and worry about the fence later - at the moment it looks like you've not decided on the size/shape/colour of windows, in which case I'd reconsider the green.
