As you might decide to completely renovate your kitchen later I would add a countertop with stools below at the end of the run on the right. Apologies if you have a fridge in that spot! If you could lose a cabinet you could remove one along the run and add a stool for your daughter in there. It might also be possible to add a child table and chair in the open space at the end.

You could consider a galley kitchen with fitted bench and slim table to one side of french doors to the garden were the sink currently is…I would move the understair cupboard opening (to open from the dining room) and close off the side door. You could have a sliding door/barn door from the dining room to kitchen so less obstruction to open fridge/oven doors etc.

I agree with katlucy about moving the understair cupboard door to open into the dining room, to free up your options in the kitchen.

I'd consider having a peninsular at the end of the hob run, have a 900 shallow depth [300mm deep] corner unit/450 door, panels and plinth, 660/670 deep breakfast bar worktop above and it will give you about 1100 worktop with seating for 1 adult and 1 child and if the 2.73 measurement is correct you still have a 1m walkway gap. You could even have the unit opening the other way round so the doors are on the seating side, ie a 1000 wide wall unit [on legs] with twin doors and some matching panelling. If you're struggling with the worktops you could opt for something completely different [ie a timber square edged].

If your fridge freezer is currently positioned at the end of the hob run i'd suggest looking at the idea of having a french door in the dinning room where the window is and blocking up the back door so you could have a fridge and possibly a larder there.
