Hang a hook central to where you want the light, extend the wire so that you can move the pendant to where you want it.

Hi. I would put a valance on the bed, a non frilly one though! does the mirror on your landing fit over the bed as I would swap it with the clock personally (I sound like a stalker :) would you consider a slightly darker feature wall, paint or maybe a textured, grasscloth etc wallpaper? I know you don't like clutter but I would add some accessories and art. Ignore the pic, but maybe a bolster cushion would work better instead of the fur cushion at the front?

Hi Naomi, What a great space to work with and some really fab ideas so far! We love the idea of having the gold touches against a bolder, solid colour. What about having a rich, jewel shade of blue or navy to complement, as already suggested? We love the current 'blue' trend at the moment in interiors and just feel that it adds such an elegant and opulent touch to an interior space, especially a bedroom. Don’t have dimensions but the en suite looks larger than it needs to be. I would move the wall between bedroom and en suite back a few feet then you could have wardrobe storage space along the bedroom side of the new stud wall. As building a new stud wall you could have a pocket door and I would put the bed and bedside tables as in the diagram above facing the window. In the ensuite I would make the shower as wide as possible stretching between the new stud wall and the exterior window wall and put the toilet and basin side-by-side along the window wall
