Premium Living Room with Green Walls and Red Walls Ideas and Designs

The lounge has been designed as a calming yet sophisticated, family-friendly space, equally suited to entertaining guests or relaxing together for a quiet evening with a board game. We have retained and restored original details, including the coffered ceiling and lincrusta door panels, while installing triple-glazed sash windows and insulation to improve energy performance. This space forms part of a wider retrofit of a beautiful Edwardian home in Bushey. We have worked closely with the client and their architect to balance energy efficiency with the preservation of the property’s character, while reflecting the family’s interior style.

On the other side of the wing-shaped room, a corner was created by the fireplace where you can enjoy the lovely view of the golf course below.

The family room did not have a good connection with the dining hall. We made the original door into a cupboard, and formed a large opening to connect the spaces. The existing bookshelf was updated with new doors, and picture lights. the room was painted Farrow and Ball's 'Green Smoke', with architectural features highlighted in 'Downpipe'

The bespoke arched alcove joinery was inspired by the regency architecture of Brighton & Hove, with concealed LED lighting.

A "Home" should be the physical 'representation' of an individual's or several individuals' personalities. That is exactly what we achieved with this project. After presenting us with an amazing collection of mood boards with everything they aspirated to, we took onboard the core of what was being asked and ran with it. We ended up gutting out the whole flat and re-designing a new layout that allowed for daylight, intimacy, colour, texture, glamour, luxury and so much attention to detail. All the joinery is bespoke. Soft green walls of the family living room add a calming, fresh feeling to the space, complimenting the white woodwork and stone fireplace mantle. The timber floor and rich traditional Victorian rug add warmth to the room, added to by the antique mirror above the fireplace. Renovation by Absolute Project Management

Lovely calming pallete of soft olive green, light navy blue and a powdery pink sharpened with black furniture and brass accents gives this small but perfectly formed living room a boutique drawing room vibe. Luxurious but practical for family use.

To brighten and warm the room, the ceiling between the lower ground floor and the ground floor was removed, allowing the south-facing light to flow through the front of the house. A sculptural staircase was added to connect the living room and the hallway.
