Thanks Alan, we had come to the same conclusion after talking with several local installers. Here is our progress so far. It took us 2 days to get the underlayment down, then one day of prep, and this is the result 3 days of flooring installation: Thanks for all your advice so far Alan, it has been invaluable!

We have Mannington Adura Distinctive Plank in Dockside Boardwalk. We had them glued down w the recommended Mannington glue. We love our floors in our basement, and are 100% happy with our choice. :)
