Reply to: In order for a window seat to look/feel sensational, you need a dormer, or a generous bay window, or box bay. The second issue with them is they need to be deep enough to be comfortable, they need a three or four inch cushion medium density foam with wrap cushion , and a seat depth not less than 20/22 inches.. Otherwise, nobody, not even kids, actually sits in them or reads in them. It's a look. If bound to do it, make the seat top no higher than 15", and 20" or 22" in depth , and put a very plush 4" cushion atop it. I'd want this or nothing..... second photo as a grown up: ) Otherwise give me a comfy chair and ottoman.....
