Reply to: I found out that the FrigidairePromotions.com rebate only applies to purchases from certain stores and the store I purchased from doesn't apply. The net price after matching Best Buy's $1399.99 sales price earlier this week is still less than if I had purchased from the eligible store and then got the rebate. Best Buy's price is up to $1699.99 now. I just submitted the rebate from the electric company and should get that credit back in a few weeks, The FGIH3047VF range is installed and working and everything looks good so far. It's not really smudge proof because the delivery mens' hands were dirty enough to still leave alot of smudges, However, the smudges wiped off much more easily from this surface than from normal real stainless steel. One surprise with this range is that it uses a full touch screen and not the plastic flex buttons like on FGIF3036TF. These type of controls feel more upscale like my previous Electrolux, but this also means it will be more expensive to repair if it fails after warranty. It "should" still be somewhat cheaper to repair the controls though since this screen technology is more mainstream in appliances than when the Electrolux used it in 2010 and it doesn't have the "Wave Touch" sensor feature the Electrolux did. This range also feels slightly more sturdy than the floor model FGIF3036TF I looked at. The largest burner is larger than I expected. So, it should be no problem with the largest pans I have. The specs say it is 8.3 inches, but I measured about 10 inches. Maybe the coil is 8.3" underneath, but the largest pan size marker on the cooktop measures 10 inches.

Reply to: New,,,they sent a sample of it to Italy so they could figure out what it was. in the meantime, they got a second slab and were supposed to be cutting that one today. Still waiting to hear if anything has gone awry. i guess no news is good news. yes to the French Oak flooring. it's sitting in the warehouse. have to get it and then demo all the current flooring (830 sq ft or so) I'm going to have all of the vents cleaned after that. the layer of dust from the kitchen rehab was astounding. it's just gross. If you want some Fireclay samples, call Lindsey and tell her I sent you. she'll hook you up with any help or advice, and send you some samples. I have some samples of their blue glazes (Adriatic, Santorini, and one other cobalt color) . they are so pretty. takes 8 weeks to order, so if you like it after you see the sample, order it and it should be ready by Oct! I like the scallop color in the top right. would look nice w/both of your stone tops And, since you like color, I thought of the Komorebi from tilebar. In the end, I ordered unlacquered brass pieces (for everything except the island) from the House of Antique Hardware, and then using a solution they sell called Brass & Bronze Aging Solution. I am not a handy DIY person, so it stressed me out to do this, but in the end, it was super easy, and I got exactly the look I wanted. I had looked at "antique brass" hardware from Rejuvenation, School House, Restoration Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, and about 40 other places. Cabinets were built by CustomFit Kitchens, LLC in Baltimore. Appliances are Wolf, except for the dishwasher, which is Bosch. Faucet on big sink was made by Jaclo and is amazing. I grew up in this house, and was living in California with my husband and three small kids when my parents announced they were selling it and moving to Florida. We ended up moving back to the East Coast and have been here for 14 years now! When I started the remodel, I found the receipt for the cabinets my mom had put in (St. Charles!) almost exactly 50 years ago.

Reply to: This is neat to store after use. I do not think it would be ideal if have to keep pulling out several times while cooking. Could also hang hot mits.
