Need advice for my hall & stairs! Please :)
Comments (21)A vertical column radiator would indeed be a good option, and I like the anthracite idea. Alternatively, if you could find a traditional tall victorian radiator (may not be easy to source) and finish it in a bronze/verdigris, it could work really well with your dark mint and would be a real statement! Your staircase is lovely, and I would go with a contemporary striped runner, white painted sides and a simple rod....See MoreHelp! need advice on interior design for open plan living space!
Comments (4)Hi Sofaiza, It sounds like you have done great so far and have a great space. Well done. I have just completed a kitchen design with what sounds like exactly the same kitchen units. We went for a speckled white worktop which worked really well. We then chose a light grey with a hint of blue for the walls - this is modern and fresh and works well with the white gloss and with the silvers or whites that may appear elsewhere in the kitchen. What flooring have you gone for? For a contrast Black worktop went well and was considered for the same project I mentioned. For the features walls the tiles sound intriguing but I would need to see them to get a better idea or know if they would work with the design. Sounds good though. I am happy to forward a few images of the project here if you want to get in touch. It will give you an idea of how it will all look. I also have trade accounts with the companies I purchased from last time which maybe of interest to you if you are planning on purchasing yourself (not through a tradesmen or designer). My email address is gina.everett@createperfect.co.uk or feel free to call the office on 0208 133 0702. All the best, Gina...See Moresenguard quartzite

Comments (9)I advise my customers not to bother and have the extra worktop space and use a tea towel or mat to put any washing up on. The grooves don't have enough fall in them to drain the water away so it just sits there and you get lime scale build up and they're harder to clean up. With the recessed drainer again the water will just sit there as there isn't the fall to drain the water away but the water won't drip over the edge. Again you lose so much worktop having this and its an additional cost, much more expensive than just the grooves. I think your installer is giving you good advice. Quartz is 100% sealed compared to granite and marble, but i'd still be careful and clear up any spills especially anything acidic and also not put hot pans on it, don't use it as a chopping board with sharp knives etc and it will look as good as new for years to come....See Moremomdia
