Like the idea of subway tiles possibly with grey grout if the counter in this section is also greyish

We like the general color scheme of all except the island paint color is more brown than than grey/blue/green weblike. And the backsplash needs more piazzaz.

We are leaning towards the concept of the light island countertop and the dark back countertop. I LOVE the backsplash outlined in gold on this one. If we could replicate something like this that would be awesome. The difference in this photo to what we want is we want our island paint color to be darker. Love the Hollywood, classy look to this kitchen.
