Reply to: Thank you so much for the kind comment! The hardware is Berenson The Designers Group 10. Yes, you can use polished chrome (I used polished nickel) with stainless steel. I used 7-3/8" for the longest drawers, 4-3/16" for the shorter drawers and the knobs.

Reply to: Trendy, I would suggest you go to the ceiling with your cabinets- if you can. Paint your ceilings a lighter hue than the walls, or a white with a hint of blue to make the ceilings appear taller. Try baby'sbreath OC-62 or White ice Oc-58 BM. for ceilings. with a neutral color on the walls. Hope this helps.

Reply to: I run into this question all the time with my business. I recommend trying to use 39"high cabinets and have 3" of crown. I believe the importance in creating the height comes from having the taller cabinets with the crown to help them transition into the ceiling. Many cabinet lines now have the 39" high cabinets but if not I would consider the 36" cabinets using two piece crown to go to the ceiling. Either way go to the ceiling to create the height. I probably have some pictures you could refer to.

Reply to: Thank you for your interest. The island is painted in solid black as a counterpoint to the white painted cabinets of the perimeter. The counter top is also a black, a granite called Jet Mist, which has veins of white and silver running through it that lightens it up.
