stove across from sink. hutch cabinets, ive come to realize i do not care for the ... 5ft x5ft slab of countertop... maybe thays why i also dont like the kitchen bar style seating.

4.16 I like the shape of this kitchen and all the counter space around the sink where you would be working after a meal to store the leftovers and scrape the dishes for washing. THIS seating area is more what i have in mind. That is closer than a island with seating.

this again is one of those multiple triangle layouts. (way to modern for my taste but see past that to the design and the layout looks very smooth and efficient!) I do like the stove top and the sink in a row line that with the ovens opposite the stove. But yes, much less modern.

again. love the sink right across from stove. if not, it has to be very near to each other on an "L" shape. i can see where having countertop space merging the 2 be handy for sliding heavy pots over. ... but that area is usually covered by dirty dishes ?

library ladder to reach the stuff on entire wall cabinet... i wonder if we can make it removable for the library/entertainment area. The ladder is nice, but if removable it would be heavy and I would get frustrated walking around it if not.

jake said we can accomplish this... if we did want to put cabinets on the window side... though we wouldnt have the above windows for light.. just between cabs and counter... hey, dont have to worry about a backsplash ?

like this... there is again a relatively simple in design. one walkway. just looks like more room because there is no wall behind the stove and opened it up to seating. I like this idea. plenty of sitting room for when not everyone us home.

I would love to have a simple kitchen like this... one walkway.. im not sure how conducive this is for multiple users though and the stove wall would most likely end up being opened up as to not create a hallway... If it is wide enough it should work for multiple users
