Kitchen 2
Love the zellige squares here. I think it's just the subtle grout line vs subway (I like subway too) but the squares appeal to me.
Bodarp kitchen, two tone. Modern, beautiful. Calacatta Jubilee by Arizona Tile countertops. Curious about Bodarp-ish color but not Matte as we are such sloppy greasy pigs - it would be a night mare for us to keep clean. Also if just choose the color on leryhttan - keeps all shaker and don't add to the busyness (of more stuff/variation) crammed into this kitchen.
Sill measured and installed before the tile. So use the blocking/hot melt approach to allow fabricator to template the quartz for the sill.
With window sill especially with one not wood/less flexible to modify depth and trim out later (after backsplash) - to allow the fabricator to measure for a quartz/stone sill before adding backsplash- use "hot melt" glue that is thickness of thinset + tile leaving width of "grout line" of 3/16 caulk around sill. So that fabricator can template.
Tile backsplash - leave 3/16" for grout matching caulk to flex with house movement / normal expansion (Might also make it easier to change backsplash tile and not counters at some point) if anyone ever would want that. Probably never? Assume it's easy to clean?
