Mirroring the staircase would give some more lounge space, with the tv under the last steps. The left bedroom size on the estate's floorplan seems off, as the bed is sideways and it seems you can walk passed it. Below I replaced the conservatory for a proper extension and rearranged the downstairs bathroom area, so all can enjoy it and a washing machine will fit in.
Next two will probably break the bank. Two storey extensions. Former garage would be replaced for something more sturdy. Downstairs bedroom would move to the opposite side.
First one is the cozy version. Side extension in the style of the house, as the whole neighbourhood looks the same. Ground floor extension for kitchen, utility and bathroom.
Next the grander one. As I saw several houses with a cross gable roof (hip and valley? what's the correct english for this?) On the first floor there is a spacious landing, a spare bed/office, a master bed with ensuite. Old bathroom and bedroom intact.
Dowstairs a hallway with room for coats (not in the porch), a toilet, the bedroom/office on the left. An open plan living with kitchen diner in the back, plenty glass, perhaps bifilds on the south side. Furniture is just for size reference.
