Relax, take a deep breath. Uneven floors are not an uncommon problem in cabinet installation. My floors were uneven, I think by only a quarter inch, though, on a 78" cab run. I used Ikea cabs. The contractor made a level frame, eventually hidden by the toe kick, and placed the boxes on top of that. So, the tops were level, and the toe kick was cut to adjust for the uneveness of the floors. The more traditional approach w/ Ikea cabs is to adjust the adjustable legs, but my contractor did not like the legs and preferred to place the boxes on a framed base. Be careful to allow appropriate height for a dishwasher or range in the run, if the plan calls for that.

I have charcoal grout on my polished crystal white marble basketweave and it has not bled across or anything. We did not seal it. I think the square on center looks fine. Maybe mask it off when you grout the field tile, wait for that to dry. then fill around it with the the accent grout? What is your field grout color? I feel like if you turn it on point it will give the appearance of even more grout around the accent.

The exagerrations here get to be a bit much. This has been in over a year. Zero dust despite a floor refinish on the rest of this floor after the cabinet install. Ive never wiped it out. No mice. I can certainly remove its contents while still on two feet. They are kind of expensive for the storage provided but cheaper than buying a new house because your stuff doesnt fit.

if it was discussed and you have it in writing, (was it actually discussed and shown to the tile guys or the GC supervising them? ) then someone has to eat it and redo. shouldn't be more than another day 2 days delay. (providing you can get extra tile). If the GC signed off on the pattern but didn't relay the info, then he needs to rectify the problem on his dime. This is why, when doing tile lay outs, it's so important for someone to be there at the start to make sure the pattern is going in correctly. The home owner hires a GC just for that purpose. I would be pissed, having gone over the layout numerous times. Plus, it's common knowledge that this long tile HAS to be laid in a 1/3 layout. Any tile setter with half a brain knows this. If you don't like it now, you will never like. eat the extra delay, have it torn out and redone. hopefully it won't compromise the waterproofing.

Should you? No. But I'm sure the subway camp people will be along shortly ;) doing white subway tiles in your kitchen will work. And it will look like every other white kitchen, w/white quartz countertops out there. I'm in the camp of 'pick something different or something w/some color'. I don't particularly like that cement tile pattern you have. There are so, so many other better options. (the one you have has been used to death!). But if you like it, then get it! Have you looked at Tilebar, Encore Ceramics or even CleTile? lots of choices. Cement and glazed bricks, below, Above are a sample of the Zellige tiles. beautiful colors. This is their Zellige tiles in a gray glaze. https://www.cletile.com/collections/glazed-terracotta-tile-zellige I think they are 4x4 (or maybe the 2x2) but they also come in a hex and in a 2x6 subway.
