Maybe it's the colors, but I hate this look. Window trim is too scrawny to be a frame and the contrast color makes it look like it's trying to be a frame and doing it poorly. Yuck!

The outside comes in when the window trim is minimized. I think this is what I'd like to achieve with our window trim approach, if the outside view is good.
