Reply to: It will be herringbone pattern of the top two rows of subways in the picture attached in 3x18 size tiles.other bathroom walls just white polished tiles stacked in 12x24 with white grout to keep it clean and just the grey floor and singular wall as the focal. I guess my two questions are 1. Is 3x18 a good size to achieve the look I’m going for and 2. Being that the grey tiles are not solid but several shades of grey and some white marbleizing should the grout be white or grey? And if grey which shade.. darker or lighter? I felt like the tile is so busy I don’t need a contrasting white grout there’s enough going on already .. I matched up a grout to the darker grey color for now but I’m wondering if that was the correct thing to do ...

Reply to: We just remodeled our master bath. Our new shower is 45”W x 63”L and has a 45”W x 13”D bench (open underneath at one end. It has glass windows on 3 sides, which makes it feel larger. It doesn’t feel small, but I wish it were a little bit larger. We were constrained with the size, so this was the best we could do. It is certainly sufficient for a single shower, but I would have liked 6” extra on the width and length. If I had the space, I would make a steam shower that has two benches and is large enough for two people to sit in the steam together and face each other and chat like you can do at a nice spa!

Reply to: I'm so glad I pushed and had it redone. Actually the GC was really great about it and the tiler no longer works for him. Here are some pics of the final project. Bad lighting today but you get the idea. You can zoom in on the tile to see the crackle. Good luck!
