These beams were installed prior to the plaster work.

Painted poplar, 8" tall. You cannot see through the cracks but you must paint the tongues before installation because the wood will expand and contract with the seasons and you will see the tongues when it contracts.

The width of each board is 8" with a 3/16" bead.
