Reply to: A little personalisation with art work will warm up the walls, with soft color. I know you probably thought long and hard about your ceiling light fitting, however the glass might be a little hard and stark. Your lamps with material shades are much softer and 'warm', so if anything a fitting with a material shade could change the feel.

Reply to: Your sofa is not too small for the room, anything bigger could probably swamp the room I think. The rug is positioned a bit oddly under the sofa (just one leg on it). To start with I would pull it under the leg near the coffee tables to see what that looks like. I think the sofa and pink chair need pulling away from the walls by about 6inches to a foot. That brings the seating together a bit and should make the room look bigger (weird, but yes it works). I would also experiment with using the 2 small stacking tables side by side as a coffee table in front of the sofa. Perhaps a cushion or throw on the sofa in the same colour to the chair to tie it in a bit more. Plus a nice larg bit of art on the wall to tie it all together.
