Like that the ledge is not super-deep. Enough to put things on or pull up a chair, but not as obvious on deck as a wider table-top-like ledge.

We've got a downspout and a the dining room door (kinda like a bay window to compete with. but I like the fully opening windows and think our deck has room for windows to open out
