Hot Rolled steel is one of the most cost effective wall coverings. Compared to cold rolled or stainless, it's relatively inexpensive. You will probably end up spending more on shearing and forming than the actual material. 4'x8'x1/8" sheet should cost less than $150 here in the bay area. Then comes sizing, including shearing and forming, finishing we usually apply several coats of clear satin, and installation. We like 3M's VHB tape which is designed specifically for attaching metal architectural panels to walls. I hope that answers your question.
