When taking cabinets to the ceiling isn’t realistic — for example, if the ceiling is tall or angled — create a finished look by tiling the room to its full height. Using a simple porcelain subway tile achieves this beautifully on a reasonable budget. Use the open area to display one large piece of art; otherwise let it remain free of extraneous baskets and bins.
don’t stop at one row; use all of the space you have! And notice that in both of these photos, the homeowners painted the storage wall black (chalk paint would be nice too), which makes the arrangement feel more intentional and hides scuff marks.
Pullout pantry. No room for a proper pantry? A slim pullout one can be tucked into the tightest spaces, and even items way at the back are easily accessible.
Cabinets to the ceiling. Why stop a foot short when you can take the cabinets all the way up? Even if you can’t easily access what’s in the top cupboards, in a small space it’s still worth having the storage option. Having ceiling-height cabinets also helps visually expand the space.
The dining room features a farm table from an antiques fair in Coburg, Oregon. It was the first piece of furniture the McComicks bought together. Jennifer used wax paper to create the unique chandelier. "I ironed three sheets of wax paper together and used a circle hole punch to make the shapes. I sewed the circles together and strung them over a light shade I had," explains Jennifer. The whole project cost Jennifer about $10 in wax paper.

Fragrant paperwhites are popular in winter and bloom from bulbs. Plant the bulbs anytime from early fall through winter and expect to see blossoms four to six weeks later. To prolong their prettiness, place the plant out of direct sunlight once blooms appear.
