KITCHEN NOTE I love this kitchen. IT MOST EMBODIES WHAT I WANT. I want as many of the bottom cabinets along the wall and the entire island to be drawers. I do not like cabinet doors. I realize the top cabinets will need to be doors. I want the drawers and cabinets to be FULL OVERLAY as shown here or I would consider iNSET. I would like cabinets to go to the ceiling. I like the use of glass and solid doors along the top as shown here. I would like fairly strong crown molding as shown here. My selected gas rangetop is a wolf 6 burner as shown here. I also want a pot-filler. The hood style is what I would prefer. Having a strong molding is more important to me than having the lighted glass cubbies shown here. I like the square, strong, simple angles and design of these cabinets. I like the lighting used here. The combination of warehouse style pendants and recessed can lights. I did like the use of kitschy chandeliers I saw in some kitchens so I will likely use a chandelier above the dining table. I also like the recessed kickplate so it does not get kicked and scuffed so much.

KITCHEN NOTE I like the kickplate here and style of the cabinets. MY PREFERENCE is to have white cabinets along the wall and the Island cabinets painted black. I WOULD LIKE THE CABINETS to be painted as I do not want the grain to show through. I WOULD CONSIDER making the Island white and the wall cabinets black to cut down on paint costs.

KITCHEN NOTE I like the way the TV is accommodated here.

KITCHEN NOTE ON THE LOWER/BASE CABINETS I prefer pull out drawers wherever possible as I am not a fan of cabinets with shelves and doors. If a door is necessary in a particular area, I prefer a roll-out and not a shelf that you have to reach back into.

KITCHEN NOTE I do like dividers in drawers rather than having to put in additional silverware trays. HOWEVER, i do want the divider to be removable at the very least for cleaning purposes and flexibility of use.

KITCHEN NOTE In the corners of the base cabinets, I want them to be at a right angle to save on counter top costs and because I like the appearance. I do not want any type of LAZY SUSAN. If this drawer style cannot be accommodated, I do not mind losing corner space.

KITCHEN NOTE I would like an appliance hutch. I DO NOT WANT ANY TYPE OF ROLL TOP Either a pull up door like this or the doors that open out and slide into the cubby.

KITCHEN NOTE I like how the ENDCAP on this Island is done.

KITCHEN LIGHTING. The key is to use multiple types of lighting and multiples sources of light. Kitchens typically need a combination of recessed cans for overhead light; pendants over sinks or islands for targeted task light; and under cabinet for countertop light. Another tip: mix incandescent and halogen bulbs, which give off warm light, with more efficient fluorescent and LED lights, which give off cooler light, for a balanced approach.

Like these knobs. Warming drawer is nice ideas.... So do I need to pick appliances before final Kitchen design because of cabinets?

Love these lights. I do like the kitsch of Chandeliers too though. Tough decision. Also really like black island...though this color is appealing.

Take away here is the VENT. I like the modern one - do the glass backsplash HOWEVEr, this one is interesting and does allow for more cabinets...although you cannot really reach these cabinets anyway. Food for thought.

I like this pull out drawer for under the sink. ALSO A NOTE FOR THE MASTER WALK IN CLOSET I would like some pull out drawers like this in the Master Closet Similar to the drawers at Victoria's Secret.

Another VENT style to consider. I definitely want a pot faucet.

Appliance layout is as follows: A french door fridge A six burner gas cooktop Either a double oven or oven/convection combo - this is likely electric A microwave - leaning towards drawer - ALSO considering possibility of putting the microwave in the pantry at a snack/beverage station. **Look at possibility of small sink in Pantry or water source Lighting/Electrical for kitchen: Look at mounting lighting under cabinet. PUT OUTLETS either under cabinets or flush at back of countertop. Be sure to have several outlets on Island Can lights Also perhaps lighting above cabinets - ALTHOUGH my tendency is to say we take the cabinets full wall height to the ceiling. I think leaving area above cabinets only serves as dust collection area. Warehouse lighting as task lighting at Island. These fixtures need to disperse allot of warm light a good distance so that they do not need to be set low. I do not want to feel like I have these lights right at my head. Also do not want these lights to emit too much heat. NOTE: I really am warming to the use of a chandelier(s) somewhere in the house in a kitschy way.

Love how this is right by the sink. That is where I would want it. Want to make suer the drawer is sturdy enough to push garbage down. Also like how there are two garbage bins - one for trash and one for recyclables. NOTE - I do not like the ones where the garbage bin drops down into it - the track eventually weakens. Nice touch that the garbage bags are on the side. Although that is NOT VERY IMPORTANT to me because there will be room for that in the pantry.
