Reply to: Darcher, can we explore your idea of putting a sofa table behind the sectional? Have you tried putting your console back there to see what you think? Crystal chandelier over piano and black/brass 2-headed adjustable lamp on console behind sectional. Capiz chandelier with vine wood lamp. Here is the West Elm Telescoping Lamp I mentioned to you before in black and brass. The shade is pretty massive (20" round), so you would probably want to replace it with something smaller in diameter. Or not. This option would be if you didn't put a chandelier over the piano. Their cylinder floor lamp (above right) is very cool and much narrower. I love the shade, but being stark white might not fit in well with the room. You could replace it with a nice linen one.

Also I would do EITHER a standing lamp (I like the arcs just maybe not a huge one) OR a chandelier. I also think the crystal chandelier might confuse the current very sleek feeling and the attempt to balance modern with rustic. I thought the chandelier suggested here did that pretty well-I think it is a beaded empire? I also think something similar to what Kjoy posted for JWAP the other day would be cool: a modern but casual rattan or grass? Light. Balances modern/rustic/tribal? A little less glam than the empire though. particularly like this one:, price is good too!
